Sky Giants (The Hidden Moon)
4th August 2021
Today, I learned Sky Giants don't eat Moon cheese
There always comes a time, when you discover something, that changes your world or shatters your dreams
And while today isn't one of those days. I was kind of hoping that Sky Giants, did take a slice of the moon every evening. Being made of cheese. And ate it
The suprising photo
I always knew that the Moon waxing and waning was caused by the shadow of the Earth. I somehow always assumed that the shadow, was completely dark
This morning I saw the Moon. It was clear. And so decided to take some photos of the Moon. Just to practice my astrophotography skills.
This photo was taken with a 75 - 300mn lens, with a shutter speed of 4 seconds
Initially I thought I had messed up. The exposure being too long. When I'd finished, I check the photos on my computer, and saw the moon's craters, in the shadow section.
I still didn't realise that I managed to catch the shadow section. And to be honest I was suprised, and double check the craters, againsty some other images to ensure they matched
So even if you think, you've got thing wrong. Turns out you might learn something
